Canadian immigration officials have recently launched a new scheme aimed at cutting the processing time for a Federal Skilled Worker visa application to between 6 and 12 months.

If you have paid work experience in one of the qualifying occupations in the list below, or have lived in Canada legally as a temporary worker or international student for at least one year, Canadian immigration authorities are specifically targeting you for a Canadian visa.

Skilled Workers and Professionals

Skilled Workers will be accepted under this category if they score a minimum of 67 Points out of 100.

This experience should be either full-time, or equivalent part-time on a continuous basis within the last 3 years.

You are also required to show that you have the required settlement funds to support yourself and your family until you find employment, these are set out as follows:
