New Zealand is a great destination with beautiful natural surroundings. Although small, it is also one of the most ethnically diverse regions in the world and is known for being quite welcoming. The country is also one of the safest, named ‘the second most peaceful nation’ in the world in 2019.

The quality of education and living standards in NZ are very high. Qualifications from here have international prestige and compete well with current market requirements around the globe.

There are eight universities in New Zealand and all eight of these universities are ranked within the QS World University Ranking top 500.

    In comparing with other popular countries such as the US & the UK, the cost of education is far less in New Zealand, while still holding prestige internationally.

    The flexibility with immigration rules and regulations are one of the many reasons international students to choose this country for their studies, as well as the growing number of opportunities to get work after graduation.

    During school, students are able to work 20 hours/week (and 40 hours/week during vacation), with the ability to have your spouse join you and work as well.

    After graduation, students are able to easily apply for a 1-3 years post-study working visa, depending on your qualifications. From there, permanent residence becomes a possibility, particularly for those studying STEM courses.

    The usual intakes for New Zealand are in the months of February, July, and October.

    IELTS 6.0 (Min 5.5), TOEFL: 79

    Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree & Honours Bachelor Degree

    12th/Equivalent with 60% (Percentage requirements may vary based on institutions)

    IELTS 6.0 (Min 5.5), TOEFL: 79

    Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma & Master’s Degrees

    Minimum 12th + 3 Year Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree with 55% (Master’s Degree holders can apply as a specialization option)

    IELTS 6.0 (Min 5.5), TOEFL: 88

    Master’s By Research

    Bachelor/Master degree in relevant field

    Doctoral Programs

    Students must submit their Master’s Course projects report copy & research topics to the university. But seek individual requirements based on your institution of choice.

     Average cost for institutions in New Zealand:

    Undergrad: $22,000-$32,000/year

    Post-Grad/Master’s: $26,000-$37,000/year

    Doctoral: $6,500-$9000/year
