Let us help you find a right University/Program/Career Abroad
The U.S. has a huge multicultural environment and prestigious educational system that is respected around the world, giving students that extra edge competing in their future career field.
Although educational institutions can be a bit more expensive than other popular study abroad destinations, America tops the list in diversity, educational programs available and post-grad opportunities, Therefore, it boasts of having the highest number of international students in the world.
While studying in America, international students are able to work part-time. However, this must be through on-campus recruitment. (Universities usually have programs set up to help you get on-campus work.)
There are more options to work off-campus after completing a year of schooling; Nevertheless you must meet particular criteria (such as substantial, unexpected expenses or it is part of practical training associated with your course).
After graduation there is an option to apply for an Optional Practical Training (OPT), which allows graduates to stay and work for 1 year (as long as it is related to your field of study).
For those studying STEM courses (Science, Technology, Engineering & mathematics), there is the possibility to extend the OPT for an additional 24 months.
- America’s largest intake is during the fall semester which begins in August and ends in September
- The second largest is the spring semester (beginning January/February).
- There is also a summer semester available for particular courses (beginning May/June).
Requirements vary based on institutions and selected courses. Students must meet the minimum English language requirement and a minimum academic record of 65% in humanities or 70-80% for STEM courses.
There are over 5,000 academic institutions in The US. But no need to get overwhelmed! We can help you find the right one to suit your individual needs and wants. We take into account the size of the school, academic programs available, cost, location as well as the lifestyle you want to create for yourself on and off campus.
