Prepare Your Documents

Depending on the program, documents may include passport, educational certificates, academic transcripts, employment reference letters, CV/resume, English or French language test results, Educational Credential Assessment, proof of funds where required, police certificates, civil-status documents and other supporting documents.

Profile or Application

Where applicable, an Express Entry profile is created and submitted to the pool. Eligible candidates may subsequently receive an Invitation to Apply.

Invitation to Apply

If invited through Express Entry, the applicant must submit the complete permanent residence application within the applicable timeframe.

Biometrics & Medical Examination

Applicants may need to provide biometrics and complete an immigration medical examination, depending on the application and current requirements.

Application Processing

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) assesses the application and may request additional documents or information.
